If you know what this car is, then you already know that. It may be the lowest miles and most pristine specimen left on this side of the Atlantic. I believe it to be a very collectible E39, especially for you Enthusiasts.
ASKING $10,000 O.B.O. (remember…this is rare and hard to find)
Interior is 10/10. The only significant wear is on the center console handle/tray – an $8 part. See the photos, interior has been babied and looks like a 1 year old car. The leather is beautiful. Exterior is 9.5/10. The underside of the front spoiler has seen a few light scrapes (it’s low!), but it isn’t bad at all. A couple of the wheels have a bit of curb rash, but not much, see photos. Overall, the paint and trim are in incredible shape, the car has lived my garage since I had it brand new in 1997. EVERYTHING ON THE CAR WORKS except what is noted below. A/C blows cold . Engine is quite. Idles perfectly. No accidents, never smoked in. Even still has new car leather smell.
VERY MINOR ISSUES
Retractable trunk lid lift arm struts are weak. The window washer refill bottle has a crack will not hold fluid. I haven’t taken time to tinker with it. This is an extremely small “issue”, but… full disclosure. THAT’S IT. SERIOUSLY. THIS CAR IS IN AMAZING SHAPE. Everything else works perfectly.
I’ve owned this vehicle purchased NEW on 6/30/1997 during which time I’ve put only 69,252 miles on the car. I purchased it from Fields BMW of Winter Park, Florida (upscale dealership in upscale part of central Florida ). Had the windows professionally tinted, no bubbles, wrinkles, other noticeable defects. Since I worked from home, this car wasn’t outside when I worked either. At the airport – covered parking garage. This is my first BMW E39. Service History (by me): new brand new 4 tires, alarm horn replaced OEM, oil change, etc. (synthetic of course). I have all documentation for this and everything else. I have the original manual in its leather folio, original window sticker, VHS/audio cassette, all documentation since my ownership, two working original transponder keys and even have the plastic valet key, as well as original glove box flashlight.
REASON FOR SALE
I absolutely love and pamper this thing, but with a severe medical diagnosis in May 2005, I have struggled with wanting to hold onto it hoping I could recover and enjoy the driving again. This is not to be and mostly has been garaged with a battery tender except for weekly drive to local post office.
